Welcome to nowU. These Terms describe what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you use the service. By signing in, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. What nowU is
nowU is a personal task manager that lets you capture tasks, tag them automatically with keyword rules or AI suggestions, and time-box them against your Google Calendar. It is provided as-is, without warranty, and may change or be discontinued at any time.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for everything that happens in your nowU account. We rely on Google to verify your identity and do not store your password.
3. Your content
Your tasks, tags, rules, and contacts are yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you put into nowU. You can delete content at any time, and you can disconnect Google Calendar from Settings → Calendars.
Soft-deleted tasks are retained for 30 days so you can restore them, then automatically purged. If you delete your account, we delete your data on our side (Supabase rows + encrypted calendar tokens) within 30 days.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use nowU to store or distribute unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
- Attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, including the LLM tag-suggestion endpoint or the Google Calendar integration.
- Resell access, run automated scraping, or use the service to build a competing product.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
5. Service availability
nowU is offered “as-is” and “as-available.” We don’t guarantee uptime or that the service will be free of bugs. You should not rely on nowU as your only record of anything you can’t afford to lose.
6. Third-party services
nowU uses Google for authentication and read-only calendar access, Supabase for hosting and storage, and Anthropic (Claude) for AI tag suggestions. Their respective terms also apply to your use of those features. See our Privacy Policy for what data flows where.
7. Disclaimer of warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, nowU and its operators disclaim all warranties (express or implied) and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll surface a notice in the app or via the email associated with your Google account. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
